Does your horse have lameness that your vet hasn't been able to diagnose or treat?
Could it be Degenerative Suspensory Ligament Desmitis (DSLD) ? This disorder is now known to occur in many horse breeds.
If your horse is chronically lame or fails a flexion test (especially bilaterally), your veterinarian can perform an ultrasound of the suspensories to diagnose or rule out DSLD. Please ask specifically for your veterinarian to consider DSLD as a diagnosis, and specifically to rule it out. Today DSLD is incurable. Please support the research.
